TETEY TEA PROMOTION

Corinthian teamed up with Tetley Tea to produce a range of 12 figures to coincide with the up coming 1998 World Cup tournament.

The figures were released with special promotional packs of Tetley Tea, with some packs containing 1 figure, while other larger packs contained 2 figures. The figures were visible inside a cardboard tray which was covered by a plastic film.

11 of the figures were available in the special promotional packs, while the 12th was a redemption figure of Gary McAllister in the Scotland home kit. To claim your McAllister all you had to do was send in £1.99 and the figure would be posted out to you.

Corinthian also produced a special 12 figure Tetley Tea Dream Team pack which also came with a display stand and a Tetley Tea backing card.

The figures are slightly smaller than regular Corinthian figures and were assigned their own collector's code, starting with TSE, but no collector cards were produced.

The figures were mass produced and have always been readily accessible on the secondary market, however the team pack and display stand can be harder to come by and are certainly worth picking up should you get the chance.
