June 1997 saw Corinthian release a set of 14 New Zealand All Blacks Rugby players, with the figures being part of the Headliners range.

 

From my personal recollection these figures were seldom seen in stores in the UK, some stores did hold stock but it was on a limited basis. I did not personally attend the inaugural Corinthian Convention however i am told that there were extremely limited numbers of these blister packs on sale at the event.

 

These have always remained very difficult to get, acquiring them loose is achievable however getting them in blisters is no mean feat, they are seldom seen, I am personally still looking for a Lomu blister for my personal collection.

 

The collector codes ran to NZ16 however only 14 are in the set, so 2 were sculpted and not released which were NZ10 and NZ14 but sadly I am not sure who those 2 players are.

 

 

All were done as single blister packs coming with collector card and information leaflet.
