FEYENOORD

There were a total of 11 Feyenoord figures released as part of the Dutch Staatsloterij range of Headliners. The figures were released sporadically over a 2 year period, with 6 being in 1996/97 kit and the other 5 being in 1997/98 kit.

This would be the first ever release of Swedish striker Henrik Larsson and although he would have many more Corinthian releases, this sculpt was only used on this one occasion, the same applies to Dutch legend Ronald Koeman, he would also be released again but not using this sculpt.

Goal keeper Ed De Goeij and Giovanni Van Bronckhorst made their Corinthian debuts, with both making appearances in the ProStars range a few years later, however a slight note to mention, Ed De Goeij would have the Dutch version of his name used here, but in the ProStars it would be changed to Ed De Goey.

Gaston Taument, Jean Pierre Van Gastel, Henk Vos, Kees Van Wonderen, Bernard Schuiteman and Pablo Sanchez would never again be released by Corinthian. Julio Cruz would be released in ProStars Series 40, however that would be an entirely new sculpt, hard to believe it is the same player, for many years I never realised it was the same Julio Cruz, he looks about 40 in this sculpt!

All were released as a clear sachet, however no collector cards were produced, with there being some variation in the sachets.

​

 

There was also a 4 figure pack released. The 4 packs in this range are unique in their appearance, they are 4 figures placed on a flimsy backing card and then covered over in a thin film of plastic. The 4 packs are rare but do appear for sale from time to time.
