BORUSSIA DORTMUND

Corinthian released a total of 14 Borussia Dortmund figures as part of the Star Kickers range of Headliners, which was more than any other Bundesliga team.

From the 14 BVB figures, only 4 would feature in other Corinthian ranges, Matthias Sammer would be released as part of ProStars series 1, while Andreas Moller would form part of the World Stars 98 set.

Goal keeper Stefan Klos would feature a few times in the ProStars range for Rangers, while Jurgen Kohler would be released in German national kit as part of the Club Gold range, however that would be an entirely new sculpt, complete with moustache.

The other 10 were never again released by Corinthian, those being Stefan Reuter, Julio Cesar, Steffen Freund, Martin Kree, Heiko Herrlich, Knut Reinhardt, Lars Ricken, Michael Zorc, Stephane Chapuisat and Jorg Heinrich.

 

 

The sculpt of Lars Ricken was also done with him wearing an ear ring, the only other Corinthian to have any jewellery was also in the Star Kickers range, Uwe Kamps for Borussia Monchengladbach.

All 14 were done as single blister packs which came with collectors card and information file, there was also a 4 figure pack done which contained Ricken, Sammer, Klos and Chapuisat, and a 12 figure team pack, with the 2 players not included in the pack being Martin Kree and Knut Reinhardt.

It is very easy to say who is rare from the BVB figures, the 2 which were not released as part of the 12 pack, Martin Kree and Knut Reinhardt, those 2 are incredibly hard to find and getting them in blister is an exceptional task, and i feel they never quite get the recognition for just how rare they actually are.
